In-Room Facilities

  • Air Conditioning

As minor sounds often seem to be magnified in the still of the night, we ask our guests to please be mindful of the noise generated by the external section of the aircon units and turn the air conditioning units off at night.

  • Bedding & Pillows

Our beds are intended to be slightly firmer than mid-range. Please contact Reception to have the bed configured to have a pillow top cover fitted. Some Studios are furnished with king size beds that can also be configured as twin single beds. If you require a Studio with a king bed or with single beds please contact Reception.

Please contact Reception (EXT 81) for pillows of alternative compressions and fillings if you cannot achieve the necessary comfort with the pillows provided.

Our aim is to ensure your comfort.

  • Candles & T-Lights

Lighted candles and T-lights are a potential smoke and fire hazard.

Please use an under-plate to ensure that table tops, bedside cabinet tops and the acrylic surfaces of spa baths and vanity tops are not damaged by the metal container of a T-light becoming hot enough to burn or scorch the surface on which it sits. Please be careful not to place a candle or T-light under a bedside lamp or curtains where it could start a fire or cause smoke or heat damage.

  • Consumables

Long-life milk is provided for immediate use in tea and coffee. Fresh milk for tea and coffee, is available for purchase from Reflections or after hours through Reception.

Tea & coffee provided in the Suite is a liberal starter pack for arrival or overnight provision. A teapot is available from Reception.

A tray of ice blocks is located in the freezer section of the refrigerator and additional ice is available for purchase by the bag from Reflections.

Please note room service and after hours room service to the Hotel is subject to the room service charge.

Please dial EXT 81 from your room for any questions.

Please be thoughtful of the noise generated by the private bathroom spa and its impact on your temporary neighbours by refraining from using the spa after 10pm and before 7am.

  • Rubber Bath Mats

Please contact Reception if you require a rubber bath mat in your Suite.

  • Smoke Detectors

The fire regulations require smoke detectors to be installed in each unit. Smoke detectors are installed for your protection but they may inadvertently be activated by smoke from a toaster or other cooking activities.

If the alarm sounds it will continue until either:

    • The smoke clears, or
    • The PAUSE switch is operated to induce a pause of a few minutes to allow the smoke to clear. In suites 1 to 69, the pause switch is mounted on the body of some of the smoke detectors and in the hotel suites, it is a separate switch (red button) mounted on the wall.

We require guests to do their smoking outdoors away from the building as it is almost impossible for us to quickly clear the smell of smoke out of the curtains, carpets, soft furniture, bedding etc. Smoking outside a door where the wind carries smoke into the building has the same effect as smoking within the building. The residual smell creates an unpleasant and potentially unhealthy situation for future guests.

Smoke Odour Charges and Cleaning Policy

Management reserves the right to charge for the additional cleaning involved in removing smell from smoke from a suite and for any loss of revenue incurred as a result of the residual smell of smoke making a room uninhabitable for arriving guests.

  • Television
